Descripcion: Research Interests:
Our group works in the field of Immunology, Immunotoxicology, development of monoclonal antibodies with different purposes, Nanotechnology, Vaccines, autoimmune and infection diseases. We are coordinating an European network in Immunotherapy (SUDOE-Feder) and participating in several projects related to Nanotechnology ( EU (7º FP) (Hinamox), Consolider-Ingenio 2010 (Nanobiomed)) and vaccines (FIS project).

Services:
We have experience in the biological characterization of nanoparticles (spin-off: Nanoimmunotech), and in the development of monoclonal antibodies and phage libraries. We use techniques such as ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, cell cultures, hybridoma, immunochromatography, PCR, sequencing, cloning, TEM, SEM, DLS, FTIR.

Collaboration:
We are collaborating with many groups in the field of Nanotechnology in Spain, Europe and USA, with hospitals (Pontevedra, Vigo), pharmacologist (Maria José Alonso, Univ. Santiago de Compostela), Immunologists in Porto (Dr. Manuel Vilanova), France and Spain.
