The Center for Eurorexional Studies Galicia Norte de Portugal (CEER) coordinates the Atlantic-POSitiVE project (Conservation of Atlantic pollination services and control of the invasive species velutina wasp), an initiative that is considered the largest research project launched in Europe to stop the Asian wasp (Vespa velutina), with a budget of over 2.3 million euros and the involvement of ten institutions from Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom and the collaboration of twenty other entities, including beekeepers' associations from various points from Spain, Portugal and France.

Atlantic-POSitiVE (Conservation of Atlantic pollination services and control of the invasive species velutina wasp) is the largest research project launched in Europe to stop the Asian wasp, with a budget of over 2.3 million euros and the involvement of ten institutions from Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom and the collaboration of twenty other organizations, including beekeepers' associations from various parts of Spain, Portugal and France. Leading the project is the Center for Euroregional Studies Galicia Norte de Portugal, CEER, in collaboration with the universities of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, the General Directorate of Natural Heritage, the Basque Institute of Agricultural Research and Development, the National Institute of Research Agrarian and Veterinary, the University of Trás-os-montes and Alto Douro, the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, the University College Cork and the University of Exeter. The project is co-financed by the Interreg Espaço Atlântico program, with the University of Vigo being the institution that will manage the majority, with €470,095.48.
