Líneas de trabajo: Determination of pollutants in water and seafoods: development of analytical methods for determining the presence of certain organic pollutants (HAPs, PCBs, BFRs, alkylphenols, etc..), which can be found at very low levels in different matrices (seafoods, water and sediments).
Determination of aquatic biotoxins in seafoods: development of simple, fast and specific analytical procedures for the monitoring of marine biotoxins, especially paralytic ,lipophilic and amnesic (PSP, LPT, ASP) toxins in seafood, as well as other aquatic biotoxins as cyanobacterial toxins, which have their origin in freshwater but can affect the marine environment as well.
Analytical immunochemistry: development of immunochemistry based analytical strategies for the previous treatment of complex matrices and also for specific of selective inmuno- based assays
Clinical analytical proteomics: development of analytical strategies for the proteomic analysis of plasma, serum and tissues with therapeutical and clinical diagnostics purposes.
Servicios: Extraction techniques (Soxlhet extraction, ultrasonic extraction, microwaves, solid phase extraction, solid phase microextraction, immunoaffinity solid phase extraction).
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC): UV/diode array, fluorescence and Mass Spectrometry (MS) detection modes.
Capillary Electrophoresis (CE): UV/diode array and Mass Spectrometry (MS) detection modes.
