We are proud to announce the scientific programme and call for abstracts for the 28th International Horticultural Congress, Lisboa 2010, a world conference on horticultural sciences under the patronage of the ISHS.
Science and Horticulture for People, the theme of the Congress, emphasises horticulture’s scientific components and how it relates to scientists, producers, consumers and society at large. People are also the focus of horticulture for development.
The scientific programme is rich and diverse. Participants will find topics to suit their specific interests among the high number of colloquia, symposia, seminars, workshops and thematic sessions.
The Congress will also be an opportunity to discover the dynamic and innovative horticultural industry in Portugal and Spain. There will be a wide variety of technical tours. And for the first time, some technical tours will include onsite workshops.
August is a perfect time to visit Lisbon. The city at this time is quiet and the weather warm and dry. Take the opportunity to experience this exciting city on the banks of the River Tagus, where historic sites and a tranquil atmosphere come together with all the modern facilities of a European capital.
We have prepared a stimulating scientific programme and ensure a welcoming atmosphere during the Congress and the opportunity for building beneficial relations with the vibrant horticulture industry. This is the Congress you cannot afford to miss. Mark your calendar now for 22–27 August 2010.
